I am a York University trained Family Mediator and AccFM (candidate) currently accepting clients.
I have completed comprehensive family mediation training which includes screening for family violence, mediation theory and skills development, and drafting parenting agreements that align with Ontario family law. My work is informed by familiarity with Ontario systems such as the Family Responsibility Office and family court processes, supporting practical, workable agreements.
I am registered with the Ontario Association of Family Mediators and adhere to its professional standards, ethics, and ongoing training requirements.
I bring something most mediators don’t: over two decades of hands-on experience working with families in conflict. As a Registered Child and Youth Care Practitioner, a Parent Coach specializing in high-conflict family dynamics, a retired foster parent after 18 years of service taking in children and youth with complex behavioural needs, and a case manager for a foster care agency, I understand what is actually at stake when families navigate separation — especially when children are involved.
I am trained in child-focused mediation and bring extensive experience supporting children and youth with complex and diverse needs.
My approach is grounded in dignity, neutrality, and a deep respect for the family’s ability to make their own decisions. I help parents build practical, workable parenting plans, improve communication, and reduce conflict — all in a way that centres their children’s well-being.
As a Parent Coach, I also support families across North America with co-parenting consultations and co-parenting structures in a coaching role, often working alongside Parenting Coordinators, lawyers, and court-involved professionals where formal mediation is not appropriate across jurisdictions.
Family mediation is a voluntary, confidential process in which a neutral third party (maybe me if we’re a good fit) helps separating or divorced couples reach their own agreements about parenting arrangements, communication, and other family matters. Unlike court, mediation is collaborative rather than adversarial, focused on the needs of your children, and typically faster and less costly than litigation. Mediation does not replace legal advice — each party is encouraged to consult independently with a lawyer.
My mediation services are a good fit if you are navigating separation or divorce and want to reach agreements without the cost and stress of court. I work best with clients who are:
Mediation is conducted virtually via Zoom, or in person, making it accessible no matter where you are in Ontario.
